Natural habits to prevent Breast cancer


Being diagnosed with breast cancer can be terrifying but here are lifestyle ways you can add as part of your daily activities to decrease the likelihood of the risk at any age. 

Exercise
Research shows that exercise can reduce the risk of breast cancer by lowering blood estrogen. Women with high estrogen levels in their blood have a high risk for breast cancer and are encouraged to work out for 10 or more hours weekly which lowers risk of the disease. Even older women are advised to be concerned about estrogen because after menopause the hormone is produced by fat cells. Thus preventing breast cancer through exercise is one of the best ways a woman can take charge of her health.

Maintaining an optimal weight
Up to one-third of cancer-related deaths are due to obesity and a  lazy lifestyle.This is especially true if obesity occurs later in life, particularly after menopause. Women are advised to adopt an industrious lifestyle to lower the risk of breast cancer.

Reducing alcohol and quit smoking. 
Just one alcoholic drink per day can make you more vulnerable to breast cancer, and smoking raises your risk for a whole host of conditions. Research links smoking and breast cancer risk in premenopausal women. 

Breastfeeding
If you have children and are able to, breastfeed for at least six months. Doing so has been linked to lower the risk of breast cancer. 

Eat a plant-based diet that’s rich in whole foods. 
Researchers have found that women who consume more red meat may have a higher risk of breast cancer later in life. Choose fish, poultry, or cereal foods when you can and eat fats that are from good sources like olive oil, avocado, and nuts. 



Take plenty of fruits and vegetables 
A balanced diet packed with clean fruits and veggies is heart-healthy and protective against breast cancer.
